Change RPC over HTTP URL (Exchange Proxy Settings)

We are using Outlook 2003 with Exchange 2003

Our current "Exchange Proxy Settings"

under Tools > Email Accounts > Change > More Settings > Connection tab > Exchange Proxy Settings button

specify the server using an external IP Address rather than a URL.  i.e.

http://xx.xx.xx.xxx

and also for the "Principal name for proxy server" i.e.

msstd:xx.xx.xx.xxx

Is there a way to change this (via group policy, registry, scripting, etc...) to be a URL rather than an IP Address?

We have many remote users and getting our hands on the laptops to change this will be impossible.

I have looked in the GP Admin template for Office 2003 but couldn't find anything there.

when I create this PRF file do I need to specify ALL outlook settings, or can I just modify this particular account setting?

and sorry, one other question.  Which option do I use under the Resource Kit to create a PRF file?  I can see how to create a CMF file, MST file but not PRF.

You have to go through the Custom Installation or Custom Maintenance Wizard. During that wizard you can create the Outlook settings and then save the PRF file.
I would suggest adding all of the settings. Then look at the prf file in notepad and set the option to modify existing profile rather than create a new one.

ok I almost have it.  It seems to create a new profile each time though, and also creates a new ost file causing outlook to re-download all mail items.  Can you help me tweak this file please:
