How do I determine the number of CALs that were purchased with Windows Server 2003 Standard?

I have a client with a "Server" PC that was installed by another tech. The PC (A Dell PowerEdge SC430) was setup to just be a member of a workgroup(?!); They have no documentation, CDs, etc.

I'm trying to find out how to determine the number of CALs they purchased and can't figure out where this information is stored - looked under Admin tools, etc.!

Please help.

It's a Dell machine. I have the Service Tag number and the License number (from My Computer/Properties). Think this will lead me to anything useful?
you can always trace back to the original purchase.....usually they come with 5 by default and then you buy as you go....
Thanks - I'll contact Dell tomorrow and advise what they say.... any other ideas in the interim would be appreciated!
wish i had something else to give you!

your best bet is to sign up to an eopen account on ms website, from there you can request from microsoft a copy of all licences they have on record for your company,
