Shared Folders/Archive issues

I have 2 users that are sharing a folder in Groupwise.  The problem is one user is the owner but both are adding items to this folder.  When the owner's autoarchive runs it is pulling items from this folder and placing them in their archive which keeps the other user from seeing them.  Does anyone know how to exclude a folder from the archiving process or a better way to share these emails without having this happen?

This is what I have done, though this solution is far from ideal but it seems to be the only one I can come up with.  Thanks for the suggestion.

Well, of course the simplest approach would be to have the folder owner just do their archiving manually, but I assume that's not practical.

Another way to handle this would be to have the owner of the shared folder turn offthe auto archive option, and use GroupWise rules to handle archiving of messages on a folder-by-folder basis instead. Rules can be created that activate automatically when you open a folder, for example.
