DVD burner not burning

I have a _NEC DVD +-RW ND-6500A DVD burner. It recently stopped writing DVDs. It still reads DVDs and CDs prefectly. It also has no problem burning CDs. I can not think of any software I have installed recently that might have affected this. I just downloaded new drivers from dell. That had no effect.

Any thoughts as to what might cause the drive to stop working? Thanks for any help.

Try deleting upper and lower filters:

Yes, I believe you are right. I think the DVD burner is dead because it burns regular CDs just fine. Thanks for the help!

This is the best money I have ever spent. I cannot not tell you how many times these folks have saved my bacon. I learn so much from the contributors.
