Linux firewall recommendations????

Firewalls - Linux based - Errrrr! Have to save money!

As of right now my 70 person node network is behind a namebrand (which btw runs great for what it is). I currently set up a IPcop firewall at my house and that also works great and the most important part its free. I started thinking way cant I use this at work (or something similar) - I have been looking at smoothwall corp 5 and endian firewalls for work. There are a few requirements that i need that being smtp communication, vpn, anti spam, anti virus, intrusion detection, web filtering and content filtering, whitelist, black lists, you know all the cool features - Redundant -

So the question is what are you using/recommend (free) for a linux firewall? I know some of you might say well I dont what to tell this guy what I use at work for security reasons. I am just looking for a way to def save money, but, have all the features that I am looking for. Any recommendations?

The only reason I am asking this question is to find out if it is just as good as a "store" bought firewall - I already budgeted every year for the maintance on my firewall but it would be nice to cut that in half if not all the way.  I dont want to move backwards in doing this - Am kind of nervous this is what might happen - I drop all the anti spam IMF and GFI and My firewall - Then spam and everything starts coming in - Not to mention virus's and all that - I hope you can understand my fear of the unknown. - haha

I want to see if I get any more replys on this thread before I close it - Thanks

You can certainly build something very capable . I utilize a Cisco branded firewall with a number of open source layer to provide the other things you mention. However i have put into place open source based solutions for customers and they have been very happy with the outcome.. it just comes down to putting all the right pieces in place to meet your requirements.

The only one thats kinda a pain is the content filtering to get a good database you are pretty much having to subscribe to something and pay the fees

Yeah I took a look at smoothwall for the office but it would end up being $2900 with everything I needed. I am now looking at PF Sense take off of moonwall.
Your help has saved me hundreds of hours of internet surfing.
