Exchange 2000/5.5

in exchange 2000/2003 enterprise you can have multiple databases whereas in exchange 5.5 enterprise you can have only one database
in exchange 5.5 there is only one database for the mailbox store and it is called priv.edb whereas in exchange 2000/2003 one store has two databases and they are called priv1.edb and priv1.stm

so exchange 5.5 didn't have public folders?????

the example that i gave you was for a mailbox store. the same applies to public folder store also

exchange 2000 has Mailbox store and Public folder store that are both part of the Information store.

What about exchange 5.5?

it is the same in 5.5 also.

So my question was:
Exchange 2000/2003 has an added information store database from 5.5, what is it?

Is not .STM database??

so as I said the Exchange 5.5 doesn't have  .STM . correct?
