IIS and its effect on Veritas Backup Exec. We have been having problems with Outlook Web Access and IIS and Backups. Can anyone advise me what the implications are when IIS falls over on backups? The backups have hung when the OWA is not working and we suspect the IIS is faulty. We cant restart the IIS service as it just hangs and the only way to sort out the problem is to reboot our Exchange 5.5 server (running on Windows 2000).
Although I have been backing up the exchsrv folder I noticed when I went to do a restore that the priv.edb and pub.edb databases were not showing on the backup.
Is this problem directly due to IIS and what can be done to solve it?
