Can't uninstall Office XP on XP Pro system

Can't uninstall Office XP, when I try to uninstall Office XP on a XP Pro system (Add remove programs in control panel) I get the following:

Windows Installer window: The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'MAINSP3op.msp' in the box below.

I search for the file and can't find it on the computer or the network server, does anyone know a way I can uninstall Office XP on this particular computer. Note: I have a copy of Office XP on the server, but the file  'MAINSP3op.msp' is not with it.

Thank you,
DSterling

LanTh: When I  do your suggestion it says that th installation package could not be opened, thanks for the idea, it was a good try, but no success.

VoxSis: Not what I'm looking for.

it should not look for the install package as its an uninstall not an install. uninstalling shouldn't require the package.
LanTh: it is requiring the package to uninstall or do do a fresh install. When I try it the way you suggested it still requires the installation package, that is exactly the message I get when I try your suggestion for uninstalling.

I upgraded to office 2003 and it would not update so I uninstalled office 2003 and then ran the Win Install Clean up and it worked this time and I was able to then install Office XP. thanx
