VB script or batch file needed

Windows XP Pro--- I have an issue svchost tying up computer and making it run slowly-- is it possible to create a VBscript/batch file that would restart ot kill the svchost.exe pid:1100 from a shortcut on the desktop?  Can someone provide an example or a place to find such a script.  Going through task manager to end task is a PIA and is too complicated for the User.
Thanks

SVCHOST isn't the culprit, it's whatever services have been started.  Svchost is just the guy who manages them.
