Looking for MATX Mobo with full PXE support
I am looking to deploy a few workstations, but have hit a minor stumbling block: finding motherboards that fully support PXE. One of the biggest requirements I have for these motherboards is that I be able to remotely install/boot the system using Acronis Snap Deploy. Thus far, I have been through two different Asus models (both of which Asus assured me fully supported PXE) only to find that they will not work. I am hoping to find someone who can recommend a motherboard that meets the following specs, but also one that they know for a fact will support PXE in the manner that I require. The other requirements are: integrated video and sound, 240 pin DDR2, IDE, and Core 2 Duo (1.8Ghz) and the MATX form factor.

scrathcyboy, unfortunately, both of the motherboards you suggested are for AMD processors. I'm going to do some looking of my own, but do you happen to know of their Intel equivalents?
sure, look here, and put in the Intel CPU that you want --

make sure to notice the different chipsets. I suspect the ASUS support person did not give you the correct info -- they are a little dippo sometimes.

scrathcyboy, thanks again for the help. If anyone else can post up the make and model of a motherboard that they know works with acronis snap deploy, I would appreciate it. Thanks

punky, thanks for the info. I actually finally received and installed the Intel D945GCCRL which is very similar to the board you recommended, and it works beautifully.
