Cisco VPN client connection disconnects me from Internet
After establishing a VPN connection via the Cisco Easy VPN client I can no longer browse the Internet.
The VPN connection locks you into it, you can no longer access resources elsewhere.

it was a split-tunnel ACL problem
split-tunnel isn't a problem, it's a 'feature' of sorts. VPN clients are set to virtually disconnect the client machine from the network it is on and lock it into the host network to provide security. Split tunneling is a way to get around this, but isn't recommended.
What is the recommended solution to this problem?
