I have a WAMP server setup on windows server 2003 box for a intranet.  There is also a SBS2003 box running DNS, DHCP and the works.  To access the intranet the url http://srv2.domain.local/intranet/

I would like to change the url to http://intranet.domain.local/ . is this something that would be configured thru apache or thru the DNS server on SBS2003?"

All you need is a DNS entry on your SBS server for http://intranet/domain/local, you can even keep the old domain http://srv2.domain.local/intranet/  up at the same time if you'd like. You may also need to change your ServerName directive in your httpd.conf file.
Forced accept.
