What is the best way to setup a home to office VPN link, I have wireless routers at both ends but static IP at home only, the routers are not VPN but can be changed, also a static ip can be obtained at the office if necessary. Both systems are running XP Home.
Where can I find info on how to setup and the settings I need, I know a bit about networking but not this level.

Defining a VPN connections is really up to your fire wall software.
Basicly to targeted PC must have a static IP address as well as NAT definition.
You also need to enable remote access on your office PC

Sorry, above fist line should read:
"There is no need for a static IP at the client site"

Sorry but "both systems running XP home"? Is it possible to set up VPN?
Assuming you could you need to open port 1723 on your firewall to accept VPN.

You can use an XP home machine as a VPN client or server.
the first thing you need to get around is the DDNS.  I use DYNDNS.ORG .  there you can get a free dns name for your external IP and you can install a client on a machine which will keep it live.  Next do you plan to do hardware to hardware VPN or is the their a server for pptp or l2tp?
