Sporadic Problem Server 2003 connecting to Sql 2005

System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: A transport-level error has occurred when sending the request to the server. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host

This also happens when the SQL Service is restarted, or the box is rebooted. If you see this on an old session you can try to refresh it by re-running the command or query to start a new session in Management Studio.

It actually appears to be a registry setting that limits the number of connections from server 03 to sql 05.
