Cisco Router 2503, upgrade failed.

Hi Experts:
I am in process of trying to upgrade the IOS on my 2503 Cisco router for a practice CCNA lab.

Before I was having issues with making a connection between the Pc (TFTP server) and the router which was solved by the help of one of you experts.

The upgrade went ok, but the router is not booting to the IOS now, there is insufficient memory error messages coming up. When I was upgrading, I though that because I said yes to erase the current IOS, which means that some space will become free. The size of IOS 12.0, which I was trying to upgrade, is 7MB, and I have 8MB memory.
Following is the outcome of when I turn the router up:

So here it is , please advsied how can i resolve this issue, i know one option would be to physically upgrate the memory. I am a little confuse , because i got *MB memory and the IOS is only 7MB so why its not booting up correctly.

Once again thanks for all the help.

Regards.

I will try to upgrade the RAM , a friend of mine is selling a 16MB DRAM stick and i aslo saw on ebay a few ads for 8Mb, so which one will be more suited, 1 stick of 16MB or 2 sticks of 8mb and also while i am at it, should i also upgrade flash with another 8mb?

Regards.

Another thing, how difficult is it to put the Ram in the router, i ahve experience of building and up grading PCs, will this be similar to that:
I am yet to see the inside of a router, if there is any site which shows step by step procedure , that will be good.

Thanks

Thanks Guys,

I have upgraded the RAM to 16BM, and as you said "donjohnston" it was a piece of cake.
Left flash as it was at 8MB.

Regards.
