Actually, never mind about the dual core part of the above post I misread it. It will install with a single core g4. But, having gone to the forums to double check it I found numerous complaints about exessive cpu usuage and slooooow functions on machines that I suspect are much faster than yours. I greatly suspect that you will need a much newer machine than what you have to run this app without aging visibly in front of the screen.

Thanks I read on Adobe something that confuised me. Can I put dreamweraver on 10.2.8 or must I upgrade to a newer SW? If so do you know if I can go to the latest or will I have to do steps?

Just from what little information you have given you are short in one area and may be short in another.
You have got to own a Mac that you can upgrade to 10.4.8 so your machine has to support Tiger.
Secondly, they are saying you must have a dual cpu board. It is clear you must be running a PPC chip so if your machine is say an 800 mhz it must be a dual 800. I am, though, guessing that your machine is a g4. But, even if you can successfully upgrade two os versions, you may still not end up with a machine that will run this app. Now I suspect that it may still install in a single core proecessor with 10.4.8 but will just be dog slow, however, I have not yet found anything to confirm or deny that.
