Is SNMP needed in a two-node MS Windows Server 2003, SP1 Cluster (two IBM 3850 servers using RAID 6M for shared drives) ?
I'm not concerned with the central-office monitoring issue here.
The reason I'm asking that SNMP service constatntly chews up between 8 and 13% of CPU time on both nodes !?
In other words, SNMP is the biggest CPU user.

TIA
