VPN user complaining about slowness
Hi guys,
The CEO of our company is complaining that his vpn connection at home to our office is really slow. He's running our application over citrix. He doesn't think its a internet issue(spoke with VP and would like this problem fix.
Currently we have a cisco pix, and 100 meg line to the internet. Just wondering some ways I can troubleshoot this problem. I'm thinking of purchasing a decidated t1 line from his house to our company site. But that's going to cost some money per month. Just trying to get some ideas what can be the problem/troubleshoot/solut ions...

What type of PIX are you connecting to?
There are VPN throughput limitations based on PIX model/license.

its a cisco 515 pix. he has cable modem, haven't tried pinging anything on his side yet. Just found out about it this morning. Debating if we should order him a direct line or not...

Microsoft VPN client to PIX. Sorry. lrmoore, you bring up some great points. Like i said debating if we should get a T1 line to his hose...
Suggest trying the Cisco IPSEC client to PIX instead of MS PPTP...
