System Tray Sound Icon
Sound Icon doesn't appear in system tray
Check Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices. On the Volume tab, make sure "Place volume tab in taskbar" is checked.
XP:
Start -> Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Devices -> Check "Place volume icon in the task bar"
Vista:
Right Click System Tray -> Properties -> Check "Volume"
Start -> Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Devices -> Check "Place volume icon in the task bar"
Vista:
Right Click System Tray -> Properties -> Check "Volume"
