Yes indeed all it takes is to run kdmconfig and choose Xsun instead.

I am installing Solaris 10 on V40z which comes with a trident blade 3D graphics and using an old compaq v55 monitor. After installation, Java Desktop does not come up and it stays in init 3. <br />

What is the likely problem and remedy?<br />

Solaris 10 on V40z
