The files should already be compressed on the ftp server. &nbsp;If you are serving out files on a ftp server, then why spend your bandwidth and space storing and serving uncompressed files? &nbsp;sure, it takes a little CPU to perform the compression, but CPU cycles are much cheaper than bandwidth.<br />

If you want an easy way to download a bunch of files, try using a graphical user interface ftp client such as WS_FTP or Filezilla. &nbsp;You can select all the files at once, including entire folders if you want.<br />

I may be misunderstanding, but I'm not serving out files on an ftp server. &nbsp;I'm logging into my web site through ftp and accessing all the files and folders that are a part of the web site. I'd like to zip them up and download them. Unless that is not possible, and then I'll just try to find the best/fastest ftp client to do it.
