Dear experts ,<br />
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;in my company we have 4 flores , our ADSL line is comming on 3rd flore and from there rest flores are connected through fiber optic cable for internet browsing, each flore have there own servers running in there departments , but some times the network slows down :-<br />
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;1) as the servers network adaptors are of 1gb and the swiches connected to them are of 100 mbps , id it right connection or instead of having 100 mbps switches we should go for 1 gb switches .<br />
&nbsp;2)we have around 120 users using internet and the ASL line which we have taken and is connected on 3rd flore is of 2 MB , should we increase our ADSL connection to 3 mb or more &nbsp;<br />
3) or should we use any other good router with adsl line ?<br />

A switch is a device that filters and forwards packets of data between LAN segments. Switches operate at the data link layer or the network layer of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Reference Model and therefore support any packet protocol. LANs that use switches to join segments are called switched LANs or, in the case of Ethernet networks, switched Ethernet LANs. A hub is a connection point for devices in a network. Hubs are commonly used to connect segments of a LAN. A hub contains multiple ports; when a packet arrives at one port, it is copied to the other ports so that all segments of the LAN can see all packets.
