HTML code for button to open another web page

What's wrong with this HTML code? I want to place a button on a form and have it link to this location:

<img src="images/client_login_norm.png" alt="" height="40" width="119" border="0"><button name="client" value="" type="button">Client Login</button><br>

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Actually one needs to mix both your answers

The code
is correct needs more than one parameter, the second being the name of the window and will open a new window which was not the question

<input name="client" .... type="button">Client Login</button><br>
is also wrong so the combined answer is EITHER

<button name="client"
onclick="location.href=''">Client Login</button><br>

or the more compatible

<input type="button" name="client"
value="Client Login"><br>

Forced accept.
