Windows Server 2003 Bootable CD, setup cant find eula.txt
Hi,
Im trying to create a bootable Windows Server 2003 (standard edition) cd rom, using files stored on an MSDN DVD. The dvd contains the enterprise, standard and web server editions of windows server 2003.
The path to the Standard Edition files is <DVDROM>:\ENGLISH\WIN2003_ VLP\STANDA RD. Im copying the contents of the standard folder my pc, then using Nero Burning ROM to burn the files to CD, turning off floppy disk emulation, setting "Load Segment of Sectors" to 07C0, and "Number of Loaded Sectors" to 4. Ive used various different boot images, all of which allow the disk to boot the server fine.
The PROBLEM is that once the server is booted, windows setup starts, loads the required files, then after i have hit enter to start the install, setup tells me it cant find the end user license agreement (eula.txt?) and therefore cant continue. It literally wont go any further than that screen.
I have edited unattend.txt, and put OemSkipEula=Yes in the unattended setup section, and it makes no difference. I still get the same error and setup cannot progress. Im burning the cd rom at 4X.
Ive done a search, and eula.txt IS in the I386 folder, so i really am stumped at why i cant get this to work.
Any ideas?
I need to create a bootable cd, because the server im installing has a CD ROM drive, and not a DVDROM drive.

I will look around , but I still think buying a $30 DVD reader is less effort

Can I easily create CD-Rs from content delivered in my DVD subscription?
Yes, the content on the DVDs is organized in such a way that it is easy to create your own CD-Rs from DVD. However, there are some things that must be paid attention to:
* Keep the path identical. For example, if the path to Windows XP Professional on a DVD is \English\WinXP\Pro\, be sure to put all of the files on the CD-R in the same path.
* If there are any files in the root of the DVD, be sure to put them in the root of your CD-R.
* The CD-R's volume label must match the DVD's volume label.
* CD-Rs can only be created and used in accordance with the MSDN Master End-User License Agreement (EULA).
* CD-Rs are unsupported by Microsoft Technical Support.
Bootable CD images of operating systems are available on MSDN DVDs and from MSDN Subscriber Downloads. It is highly recommended you use these ISO images rather than try to create your own installation images.
I hope this helps !
