Can't delete trust to a non-existant domain

One of my fellow IT'ers was playing around with my domain settings (don't blame me; I didn't give him admin rights!).  He had set up a play server with the contoso.com domain, then established a trust between that play domain and my real-life, production domain.  (Tree-root trust type, BTW).  Now he's wiped out that play server, but he left the trust in place.  It's generating all sort of errors in AD, trying to access a domain that no longer exists.

I can't delete the contoso.com domain from within the AD Domain and Trusts tool (probably because that domain no longer exists).  So how do I remove the domain by hand?  Thanks

Thanks.  I figured I was suffering from a case of IGQ  (Improperly Googled Query).  I never would have thought to look of an "extinct" or "orphaned" domain.
