Uninstall application from AS/400

How can I uninstall a software application from AS/400 V4R4M0 system and how can I refresh LUN in system?

I need refresh my AS/400.
1 Solution

1. What's "LUN"? I mean, 'Logical Unit Number' seems reasonable except I'm not clear what you're asking about here.

2. Uninstall will depend on how it was installed.

If installed through the IBM Licensed Program Product procedures, then use DLTLICPGM to uninstall.

If installed with an application-supplied uninstall procedure, then run that procedure.

Otherwise, simply delete everything that's part of the application. That probably includes at least one library and contents. Might be a directory or objects in various directories. Might be application user profiles. (Be careful of objects owned by those profiles; delete known application objects before deleting profiles. You will deal with fewer objects at the end that way.) Might be authorization lists. Might be entries in the system registration facility. Might be work management objects -- subsystems, job or output queues, routing entries, autostart job and prestart job entries, other objects in QSYS, QUSRSYS or QGPL, devices, message queues...

There are plenty of places stuff can be created. Those are areas that immediately come to mind.

Forced accept.
