Outlook XP Does not Check For New Messages on exchange server

I am running Office XP SP3 and Exchange 2003, My only recieve new emails when i change folders, create a new email or hit send and recieve.  I am connected locally to the same network that the exchange server is on.

  Any informaito would be greatly appreciated.

    I tried that and still the same problem I have to switch folders or create new email for the emails to arrive

    Try this one:

    If not, I would un-install Outlook, reboot, and re-install again.  Sometimes it is faster just to start a MS product over from scratch than to dance around all of their potential bugs.
