LNK1123: failure during conversion to COFF: file invalid or corrupt

All of the sudden I am getting this failure on compile, using VC++ 6.0:

CVTRES : fatal error CVT1106: cannot write to file
.\Debug\VS2000UI.res : fatal error LNK1123: failure during conversion to COFF: file invalid or corrupt
LINK : fatal error LNK1141: failure during build of exports file

I tried doing a clean & rebuild all but it persists. Any idea what is causing it?

    Accepted Solution

    Stupid question - is that disk full or is there a intermediate file that does not go away when doing a 'clean'? Try to manually empty the 'Debug' folder.

    I did manually empty the debug folder and the drive has 170GB free.

    oh wait... eeeeek.. my C drive only has 12MB free!

    one sec...

    all better :)

    <slaps myself>

    thanks JKR!
