Browse filesyetem in flash

Is there a way to browse the client's filesystem in flash?  Is there an actionscript api for this? Sort of like signed applets.

    I don't believe you can do that in Flash especially if it is a web app...
    However, if you are talking about the projector(EXE file), you can use third party projector tool such as Zinc or mProjector to do that...
