in a console application it will ouput the characters.

in a windows forms app during debugging it will output the characters to the Output window (Debug>Windows>Output)

So if i've got a class that writes some output to the console, do i have to change it to something else such as ruturn string value so that i use the output of that function or class? cuz i need to make use of the class's function!

yes, if you need to use the resulting string then don't use console.writeline, return a string from that class or something like that
