How to access WSUS 3.0 from a browser?

Good morning ladies and gentle men,

Ive been working with Windows Update Service since its early ages, but some I how I am not able to figure this one out.

Right now were running WSUS 2.0 with SP1, and I would like to upgrade to WSUS 3.0, which I have installed and used in the lab for some time with no problems, except that there is no HTTP interface that can be accessed from computers on the network.

I know that you can install the client component and be able to manage it and view updates, but I was hoping to be able to do this from the browser rather than having to install anything.

So the question will be, is it possible to access WSUS 3.0 from a browser?

I appreciate all comments.

As far as i know they removed the web interface.

Only the console gives you remote access.

I really didn't think it's possible but I was hoping I was wrong.

I am going to accept both answer and devide the points.

Thanks for the comments.
