I have set up a Windows Server 2003 R2 for the first time. I have everything up & running - DNS, DHCP, IIS, Domain Controller, WINS, Active Directory etc
All is fine except I cannot ping my website - ping
I have missed something in the DNS I feel?
Simple query & recursive query's both pass.
Appreciate any guidance offered.

you cannot ping an http entry anyway - that is not viable. Remove the http part of the line and just do 'ping' or ping' as mentioned above, depending on the server name associated .

Thank you everyone - I can now ping the website using the above syntax. Now I cannot 'browse' the website with internet explorer. I have created a website in IIS, entered IP adress etc- is there anything you can assist me with here please?
