Samba roaming profiles and Vista/WinXP clients

I am running a Linux box as a domain controller (RHL4) - Samba is configured on this box and this box in the PDC for my domain. I have a mixture of XP Pro and Vista Business clients - they all seem to log into the domain OK but the roaming profiles for the Vista machines are stored under a separate profile directory to that of the WinXP machines. Does anyone have a method by which Samba can be configured so that profiles can roam from Vista to Win XP machines so that users can maintain transparency with their desktops, My Docs etc. ?

Your welcome. I don't know why m$ always has to change things so much that even they have problems with their products. XP had everything stored in the user profiles while vista has it distributed in more places.

As far as I know this can't be done. Vista is too different in it's directory structure to Windows XP. The desktop for instance isn't stored under the profiles, but rather somewhere in ProgrammData (or similar, at the moment I don't have a vista system handy).

Is it possible to share Vista and WinXP profiles in a Server2003 AD domain?

No, because the difference between the two is just too much.

Yes - I checked on an AD domain and the same problem exists there - I did solve the My Docs problem in AD by using folder redirection - maybe this is the answer for samba domains as well.
