If you remote control the machine whether using remote desktop, symantec pcanywhere, or vnc you can go about formatting the machine as you would normally do.

Are you trying to use a script to format a bunch of computers?

    Accepted Solution

I would recommend to format drives interactively (not through script):

Click Start -> Run -> compmgmt.msc -> Right click on "Computer Management (local) -> Select "Connect to another computer..." -> Select Computer name from the list ->  From "Storage" select "Disk Management" -> Right Click on Partition that you want to format -> Select "Format..." -> Check "Perform a quick format" -> Click OK.
