How can I move or copy calendar items in public folders to individual mailboxes?

Server:  Exchange 2000
Client:  Outlook 2003

We have public folders (representing conference rooms) containing calendar items.  I have created individual accounts and mailboxes for these rooms so that we may begin doing direct booking.

How can I move or copy the calendar items in the public folders to the individual mailboxes?

You can't copy calendar items but you can move them.  Open the Public Calendar and View by Category (Click View menu, choose Arrange By, select Category).  That will put all of the calendar events in a list.  Now you can drag and drop them into the appropriate mailbox. The only problem that may arise is that if the user does not have full permissions the calendar event they may not be able to make changes to it once it's moved into their calendar.

That worked!  BTW:  I was able to copy the calendar items using your solution.  Thank you very much for the extremely fast response.
