what is a.k.a.   && splash damage from the following?

Not only does it constrain player movement, but also the weapons and the blast resulting from the explosion (a.k.a. splash damage).

    a.k.a = Also Known As

    Splash damage, also known as radius damage or area of effect (AoE), is a term used in several types of games, most notably in first-person shooter and real-time strategy computer games, to refer to damage taken by players or objects in the area surrounding a point of weapon impact. Splash damage is most commonly dealt by explosive weapons such as grenades or rockets.
