You can't create a shortcut or hyperlink to an item directly in Outlook, either in Outlook, or from Word.

The closest you can get to such, is a shortcut to the folder the item is in.

Can I put a shortcut to an Outlook forlder, into a word file?  then how?  Or is it only possible to make the shortcut to the PST file itself?

What version of Outlook are you using?

I have done this using outlook 2000 but I'll have to go back to work tomorrow and check the procedures of what I did (however, it involves giving that person permissions to access that folder (away from the delegates side of things).
