Cisco IP Routing

Hi,
I would have 2 core switches with 2 different subnets to route. I would like to route data in subnet 172.24.224.0/23 vlan 1 to core A and 172.24.227.0/24 vlan 2 to core B. The core switches are connected to a 3750. The uplink to the core is running 2 etherchannel; port-channel 1 for 172.24.224.0/23 to core A  and port-channel 2 for 172.24.227.0/24 for core B. The uplink interface is running switchport trunk.
Would it be possible to route the 2 different subnet to different core switch based on source subnet information? Thanks.

access-list 10 permit 172.24.224.0 0.0.0.127
access-list 11 permit 172.24.227.0 0.0.0.255

 route-map net224 permit 10
   match ip address 10
set ip next-hop <coreA next hop ip address>

 route-map net227 permit 10
  match ip address 11
set ip next-hop <coreB next hop ip address>

Interface <connected to 172.24.224.0 network>
   ip policy route-map net224
Interface <connected to 172.24.227.0 network>
   ip policy route-map net227

Most, if not all Cisco switches use EIGRP now.
On core A: and the 3750 add:

config t
router eigrp 100
network 172.24.224.0 0.0.0.1.255
no auto-summary

On core B: and the 3750 add:
config t
router eigrp 200
network 172.24.227.0 0.0.0.255
no auto-summary

This will allow you the use of a routing protocol to dynamically distribute traffic. This will make it easier if you need to change/add subnet information. If you need to route traffic over to the other switch in case of a problem, just add the subnet to each switch EIGRP configuration and your back up and running.

Hi,
apologies for the late reply, i have already configured it using policy based routing as what donjohnston suggested. Had configured it earlier using policy based routing, just that i wanted to confirm if there are other better solutions. Thanks.
