A friend of mine has a 2Gb flashdrive which he used for months. It definately is a 2Gb drive.
He installed, for evaluation, some software to "carry" his identity around with him to use on other computers. You know, it had his contacts, emails etc.
He wasn't very happy with his evaluation so he uninstalled it and deleted the software etc.
Then he noticed his 2Gb flashdrive now shows as 6Mb. We have tried to reformat it etc but it always shows a 6Mb. Obviously the software screwed with his flashdrive somehow.
We have tried full format and quick format through the format verb and through Disc Management.
This is a real 2Gb flashdrive, not one of those hacked small drives made to appear as bigger drives.
Is there any way we can get this flashdrive back to its real size of 2Gb?
All the computers used run WinXP Professional SP2.
