Needing Direct Windows XP Pro SP2 Drivers for Intel Modem of Dell 2400 Desktop PC

Hi Everyone:

        I am needing a direct Windows XP Professional SP2 driver download link for the following: A modem whose chipset is Intel Corp with the OEM Vendor being Dell (Series 2400).  Using the program, Unkknown Device Identifier v.4, I identified the PnP ID number as being the following: VEN_8086&DEV_1080&SUBSYS10001028&REV_04.

       I am trying to avoid having to open the case and look at the actual chipset of the modem card itself.  However, if necessary, I can do this and followup with more detailed information about the PCI Modem Card.  Hopefully, the technical specifications revealed by Unknown Device Identifier will be sufficient.

      I look forward to hearing back from everyone regarding this post.  And, thanks so much in advance for any attention given to this post.

    George, the ID number cannot serve for looking up for the drivers :)
    can we have the exact model number of this Dell system?

    also can you use Everest to check if it can list the brand/model of this modem?

           I could not determine the model number of this Dell system.  However, I do have a Service Tag Numer which is 6C5X571.  I do have another bar code sticker on there too with a number which I assume is the serial number and can be furnished if needed.

            I did use Everest, but, I could not get any detailed information about the modem.  The program only identified it as PCI Modem.   The modem is listed within the category of Other Devices within Device Manager.

            If more information is needed, please feel free to let me know.  I may need to take the cover off and take the modem out to supply more detailed information.

    no i was actually asking....whether its a Dimension or Inspiron...stuff like that :)

    but i think its a Dimension, because 2400 series is only coming in Dimension.
    Dell has listed the drivers for this machine here;

    i think you need the one from Intel.

    Hi There:

            All I can say is fantastic job!!!!!  You was exactly right!!  The Intel modem drivers from the link given worked perfectly!... Thank you so much for a job so very well done.

            On a side note, the pc is a Dell Dimension as you said.  I just now saw it on the cover.

            Once again, many thanks for your great help.
