Problem with sound after installing codec pack.

I have one machine, on which I can't see video when I open file, I can only hear sound. So I have installed K-Lite codec pack as I always do. Now I can see video, but there is no sound. WTF?!? I didn't see this problem before.

It is not general sound problem, because I can normaly open and play sound files, everything is OK. In Media Player Classic, there is mute icon in down right corner, and I can't change it. In WMP10 everything is OK, but no sound.

It is  a MOV file.

QuickTime Alternative should help with the Codec you need http://home.hccnet.nl/h.edskes/finalbuilds.htm#quicktimealt

But it might be worth checking the codec format using GSpot (that came with your Klite bundle) to see if there is a problem rendering this file.

Yeah, but all of MOV files are now OK (video is dislpayed), but there is no sound. Before codec, there was sound but no video :)

mov files are not supported by WMP, get either QuickTime or Real Player to play them

Cro0707 is the volume bar all the way up to the rightside on media player classic?
WMP can be a finnacky playing .MOV. My WMP10 wont play .mov or .mod I use VLC player as well as media player classic<< I use mainly for subs
VLC will play anything nice media player produces a crisp clear image

use the best tool to check if the file is okay, Gspot
GSpot is a free utility which identifies the codec required to play an  file and supplies other information as well. Instal it very small then just drop the .mov onto it.

Thanks, I know about GSpot, because it is installed automaticly with KLite.

I don't wanna to use VLC or anything else, because it is not for my computer. I will try to install KLite Mega codec pack, it maybe help.

with klite ,it also installs media player classic, some mov files which do not work can be opened with that to work properly
Also you can try by renaming the *.mov to *.qt
if this fails, you can run the klite reconfiguration utility , tweaking a few settings might help, like use ac3filter for all types, or use ffdshow sound decoder...
And if you are having trouble still, vlc player can rescue you since it uses its own codecs packed within it.
