ASP.Net: AJAX Modal Popup: to allow Edit/Update using FormView in the popup

Hello Experts,

I want to display a Modal Popup Dialogbox in ASP.Net using AJAX ModalPopup with a FormView, wich allows the user to Edit/Update using FormView within the popup, when the user select one item of gridView. That is, the popup should come with a FormView, when the user click on a select button in gridview. How to accomplish this. It will be appreciative, if you could give step by step tutorial. This is very urgent one. Please help me.

Thank you,

I am asking about AJAX Modal Popup only. I know about toolkit very well. Please read the question and give solution for that. I know about some forum threads in asp.net forum. So please avoid that also.

Anyway, thanks for your effort.
I managed to do the exact thing by following this great tutorial:

Think this will be your solution as well!
if you visited Matt Berseth's site  http://mattberseth.com/blog/2007/07/modalpopupextender_example_for.html
you discovered that everyone asked about saving the data. In Matt' solution he provided a btnSave that left the implementation up to you.  But there is nothing on the web about how to do that.

The solution is to not add a btnSave to the panel. Instead use what's already available in the formview's update link. Now the only problem is that clicking the Edit button makes the panel disappear. So you click the link to display it again and now you are in Edit mode.

To get around this add the formview property DefaultMode = "Edit".

Now the panel opens the formview in Edit mode ready for user changes and the Update link updates the back-end.
