VB6 compared to VBA and VS 2005

I have just started a contract using where I have to work in VB6. My only experience in VB has been in Excel and Access VBA and using Visual Studio 2005 VB.
My question is how does VB6 differ to these in look and feel. Are most projects produced .exe
I so used to the VBA environment that I haven't taken the time to get a good understanding of how VB6 works. A few words on what to expect might help. Thanks in advance

    Hello murbro,

I first started out in Excel VBA, and gradually moved to VB.Net. I've only recently obtained a copy of VB6, but through my time here, I've discovered that VB6 is very similar to VBA. In fact, VBA is pretty much a cut down version of VB6.

If you've used Visual Studio, you'll come to terms with VB6 coding environment easy enough. And, yes, VB6 can create compiled EXE's, as well as DLL's.

    Hope this helps,
