Small Business Server Remote Domain Clients

I have a client that is utilizing Microsoft Small Business Server 2003 as it's DC. They have a remote office that is connected via 2 SonicWall TZ-170's in a VPN configuration. How would I go about adding the remote office computers to our home office domain to unify user management and support?

With a VPN tunnel set up you would add the computer in the same way you'd add a machine that's right there in your office, with the http://<servername>/connectcomputer wizard.

This is assuming that the VPN tunnel is properly configured to allow full routing between the remote workstations and the LAN.

How would I test to see if the VPN is configured properly? I have attempted to add users to the domain and while I can get them connect from the remote office services is intermittent.

Well, the premise in your question was that the offices were connected via 2 SonicWall TZ-170's.  I would have assumed whoever did that followed SonicWall's documentation?  http://www.sonicwall.com/downloads/SonicWALL_SonicOS_Standard_3.1_Administrators_Guide.pdf

Included in that documentaiton is how to configure DHCP relay so that the branch office gets the proper settings directly from the SBS.  If you have intermittent connection issues then you probably need to review the entire configuration and make sure it is correct per the docs.
