You need to ask them to set up an MX record to point at your server.

    Hello Ray012,

If your mail is allreadty flowing them you probably have an MX record - to get to OWA with a web browser you need an A record

    Ray012Date to clarify,

To get mail to flow to a mail server you need an A record for example, you then create an MX record that points to record, remember when you create the A record for you ALSO should create a PTR record (this lets someone do a "Reverse Lookup" on your mail address (which is getting to be a must have these days especially if you want to get any mail from the big ISP's like AOL and Hot mail))

The IP address that points to should be the PUBLIC IP address of your mail server IF it has its own public IP address, IF not then usually you point the A record to the IP address of the  OUTSIDE of your firewall and then, "Port Forward" mail traffic (TCP Port 25 usually) to the mail servers internal IP address.

Now to access OWA you need to have an A record also, theres nothing wrong with using the one you already have so clients outside your network can enter in their browser and that will get to your Outlook web access sire (providing the firewall on your perimeter is set up correctly)
But most people do 2 things

    1. Create a new A record for OWA that points to the same IP address as your original record so works

    2. Secure your OWA with SSL so that instead of http you're clients use https (username's and passwords get encrypted) then your external clients would go to

    Records (in summary)

A = Host Record e.g. maps to your IP e.g.
PTR = Pointer record does the reverse of an A record i.e. maps to
MX = Mail Exchange Record assigns the "Mail Role" to an existing A Record and gives it a Priority (Lowest priority
            gets used first.
