Auto open outlook on boot

One of our users would like to have Outlook open automatically to his Inbox on bootup (Windows XP).  How do I do that?

You can add a shortcut to outlook.exe to either
C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
- or -
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

You can just right-click drag-and-drop outlook.exe to the destination, and select 'Create Shortcut'. Make sure you do not accidentally 'Move' or 'Copy'.
Greetings maharlika !

Create a shortcut with

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Outlook.exe" /select inbox

You may need to modify Office11 to the path to Outlook.exe. (Office11 is for Outlook 2003.)  The switch may be /select: inbox

With Outlook close, test to shortcut.  Then copy it to Startup folder.

Best wishes, war1
