Asp.net and MS SQL "because the database is read-only" error

can anyone tell me why i keep getting this problem

WEB_DOCS\ERETAILERS.COM\APP_DATA\ERETAILER.MDF" because the database is read-only

i have checked all the settings in SQL server, and made sure it has all the correct permissions.

thanks
david

so there is no reference in your code to the MS-Access database named
ERETAILER.MDF

...and you get this error?

oops...sorry...
Are you using impersonation?
If yes, make sure the impersonated account has read/write permissions to ERETAILER.MDF

if you're not using impersonation, does the account NETWORK SERVICE have read/write permissions to ERETAILER.MDF?

either way, from windows explorer, browse to the mdf file and then right-click on it and choose "sharing and security", then add the NETWORK SERVICE account (or if you're using impersonation, add the impersonated account), then give it either read and write permissions or Full permissions to the db file....
