Eclipse XML editor
The instructions for the Eclipse XML editor at:
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/library/os-ecxml
seem to have some problems:
*Click Next. Give your project a name, such as org.my.eclipse.xmleditor, click
*Next, and accept the default values on the screen Plug-in Project Structure.
I do not I have "Plug-in Project Structure" screen. I guess they must mean Plug-in Contents. That's followed by the Templates screen, which allows you to pick some code generation templates.
*Now you need to create the editor.jar file using the File => Export menu.
*Exit Eclipse and copy the whole org.my.eclipse.xmleditor plugin directory.
copy it to where?
Also, when I open an xml file, is it possible to have it fully expanded by default?

Forgot to mention, make sure you are opening XML files with XMLBuddy and not the Eclipse XML editor.

>>make sure you are opening XML files with XMLBuddy
I have installed XMLBuddy now, but don't see how to open a file with it
I have installed XMLBuddy now, but don't see how to open a file with it
Select the file, bring up the context menu (mouse button 2), choose Open with > XMLBuddy
ASKER
Using Windows XP, this doesn't happen.
XMLBuddy is not in the context menu, nor is it available in "Choose Program"

This menu action is from within Eclipse. Run Eclipse and try it there.
