Sendto: Outlook doesnt work but Express does

If I right click and send to mail recipient with outlook nothing happens.  If I use outlook express it works.  So something is up with Outlook but what I do not know.

Have you checked to make sure that outlook is the default in Internet Explorer?

Right click on the Internet Explorer icon, and choose properties. (Or open Internet Explorer, and then click on "Tools" and "Internet Options")
Select the "Programs" Tab.
Check to make sure that under "Internet Programs" that Microsoft Office Outlook is specified for "Email"
Try your send to links again. Hope this helps!

The above mentioned method will work

You can also do as below:

Right Click on statusbar of start menu and click on properties
click on customize button
You will see Show on Start Menu
here you select you select yor email as Microsoft Outlook (if the square box is not ticked then tick it)
Click Ok

Now when you use send to it will open Microsoft Outlook

When you say "Right-Click and send to mail recipient with outlook", what are you right-clicking on? I normally click on a New Mail Message and then click the "To:" button to bring up my address book and select a recipient from that list. After typing the message then I click send. I have worked with all versions of Outlook for the last 10 years so I can probably help you but I need additional info.

ASKER

I rt click a folder/file and sendto mail recipients.  I have outlook set in both places (start menu and internet explorer).  I also have replaced the mapimail file with a known good.
And this is still failing?

Check this registry entry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\MUICache\

Look for the Mail Recipient entry, and make sure it's attached to "@sendmail.dll,-4"
If that's correct, perhaps you need to do a repair on Outlook.
(You can perform this through the add remove programs menu in the control panel.)
Does Outlook send mail normally within Outlook itself without an attachment? If not, maybe there is a corrupt email in the outbox.
Email besides that works fine.  I did notice yesterday that if I send to mail recipient a pic that it asks if i want to send the orignal size or make the pic smaller.
Checked the registery as mentioned by Bartender_1 with no success.  Thanks though.  I did a uninstall and reinstall yesterday with same results.
