    Set WshShell = Wscript.CreateObject("Wscript.Shell")
    IE7 = WshShell.Run("iexplore -extoff "about:blank"")

    Sorry...had double quotes in the previous post...  the below will work.

    Set WshShell = Wscript.CreateObject("Wscript.Shell")
    IE7 = WshShell.Run("iexplore -extoff about:blank")

    Sorry for the long time to answer...

    wel it does't do the trick... :(
    the problem is that I do other stuff with the ie object like
    ie.toolbar = 0
    ie.statusbar = 0
    ie.resizable = 0
    ie.visible = 1
    ie.Silent = 1
    ie.RegisterAsBrowser =1
    ie.navigate "about:blank"
    do until ie.readyState = 4: wscript.sleep 100: loop
    set doc = ie.document
    doc.title = "Time Zone Selector" & string(100,chr(160))
    set list = doc.createElement("select")

    for  creating and  pushing in a htm document... I dont see how I could it with the run method ...

    TY xuserx anyway
